The Hollister League flew their informal contest with some pilots having 5 hour 500km flights! Here are two getting ready to launch:

You can see these are very similar flight paths flown in same-type gliders but by different pilots! Six other gliders, two of which were two-place, also accomplished flights like these.
Meanwhile Joyce and I had a nice Mile High Scenic Ride around the Hollister area:
Steve and his father, Chuck, came later in the day for a Monterey Adventure Ride but the bay was covered in fog so we flew over the Diablos east of the airport looking at all the beautiful greenery from our wonderful rains:
