On tow behind the Pawnee:
While we flew antique biplanes were arriving at Hollister for an event held in Bickel's hangar:
Below you can see them all lined up back to back next to the compass rose in front of Bickel's blue-roofed hangar.
Gail's friends brought her in for an acro ride. The "chute" added 15 pounds to her slight frame but we still had to carry a ballast bag! She was a "gamer" and enjoyed her ride.
Fabian and wife, Diana, came up from their home in Monterrey, Mexico to paraglide over the sand dunes of our Monterey Bay but the summer fog and no-wind conditions kept their equipment in the car so they came to Hollister for their first glider ride during which they saw the "whole" area.
Four friends from Manitoba, Canada were in San Jose to run the half-marathon and came down to take glider rides. Looks like Tom enjoyed his ride:
Carole got the last flight at the end of the day when the sun was setting. She really enjoyed the "hammerhead wing-overs" after the loop and spin. But it was the visual perspective and peacefullness of calm flight that will stay with her when she remembers that sunset.
